What is the Great Canadian Giving Challenge?

The Great Canadian Giving Challenge is a national contest hosted annually by CanadaHelps. From June 1st to June 30th, every $1 donated to CAMAP via CanadaHelps.org gives us a chance to win a $20,000 donation. (All donations over $3 receive a charitable tax receipt from CanadaHelps.)

By joining forces with CAMAP and participating in the Challenge, you become a catalyst for change, allowing CAMAP to further support its diverse membership in all facets of the work they do in assessing and providing MAiD services in Canada.

What would $20,000 mean for CAMAP?

Every dollar you donate to CAMAP directly supports our ability to serve our members. Each year, we deliver exceptional learning and training for our members through a Fall Symposium, Case Sharing Sessions and a national conference. We provide research and knowledge transfer grants to support those conducting research in MAiD and our team works diligently to develop publications and guidelines for clinicians concerning the practice of Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD).

CAMAP is a lean organization and we guarantee you that every dollar donated is used to fulfill our mission of supporting MAiD assessors and providers to ensure the highest quality of care and medical standards in the MAiD services they provide, advocating for the safe provision of the work undertaken by our members, educating the health care community about MAiD, and providing leadership in determining standards and guidelines in the provision of MAiD services.

Terms & Conditions

* Donations must be made via www.CanadaHelps.org. Minimum $3 donation required. Eligible Charities will automatically receive one entry for each dollar donated to the Eligible Charity through CanadaHelps.org, including the CanadaHelps direct site for Canadians, customizable donation pages, P2P, events and other campaign pages created by a registered Canadian charity using the CanadaHelps system, and monthly donations processed during the challenge period. Contest runs from June 1, 2023 at midnight Newfoundland Daylight Time (NDT) to June 30, 2023 at 11:59:59 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time (PDT). See full rules here.
